Steinfeld Law LLP acted for Charlie Gardiner, the founder of a London-based group of community-focused family member’s clubs, The Little Houses Group, on a significant strategic investment from private equity firm Blackstone.
The investment marks a significant milestone for The Little Houses Group, building on the success of Jaego’s House in Kensal Rise and Jesse’s House in Parsons Green and enabling the rollout of additional clubs across London. Charlie Gardiner will continue to lead the business alongside chief executive Nicholas Crosthwaite and maintains a significant shareholding.
The Steinfeld Law team, led by Adam Hearn and Jonty Steinfeld, advised Charlie Gardiner on all aspects of the transaction, including negotiation of the investment documentation, governance arrangements and management equity plans, working closely with BCLP and Harris & Trotter LLP (acting for The Little Houses Group) and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, DLA Piper and PWC (acting for Blackstone).
Charlie Gardiner founded Incipio Group in 2015, the company behind some of London’s most popular and varied venues including Pergola, The Prince and Lost in Brixton. Steinfeld Law have acted for Charlie for many years, initially advising him on his exit from Incipio before assisting with the establishment of The Little Houses Group in 2021.
